A kitchen display, a menu board and the fanless box that drives them usually arrive from three different suppliers, and that is where mounting, power and firmware problems begin. DcaPOS builds all three on one floor in Shenzhen: 15.6 and 21.5-inch KDS panels, commercial signage displays with an Android SoC on board or an OPS bay for a Windows player, and the DCA-M series fanless mini PCs that mount behind them. The station leaves as one BOM, with one pre-shipment inspection report and one warranty.
On an existing platform, OEM work covers your logo, colour, packaging, silk-screen, boot logo and accessory kit — the short route when the hardware is already right and only the brand is missing. When the housing itself has to change we move into ODM: modified enclosures, new bezels, moved port positions, custom keypads and your firmware image. Prototype iterations are normally measured in weeks, so a mounting or thermal problem surfaces on a sample bench instead of in your first container.

Everything from the badge to the board. On the outside that means your logo, colors, packaging and enclosure; inside it means processor, memory, storage, port layout and firmware. For a KDS or signage build we are normally varying screen size, brightness, touch technology and mounting; for an industrial mini PC it is the port complement and the housing. Send the spec and we will tell you which parts are a modification of an existing platform and which need new tooling.
MOQ depends on how far the product deviates from an existing platform, so a blanket number would be misleading. Logo, color and packaging changes on a standard KDS, signage display or mini PC start far lower than a new enclosure with new tooling. Send the panel size, the quantity and which parts are custom, and we will quote the real figure.
Yes. Our in-house R&D team covers industrial design, mechanical and electronic engineering, and firmware or driver work. You can bring a complete design or an initial concept; we will scope what the platform can support and where a new board or enclosure is needed. For software vendors we work from your application’s hardware requirements — the ports, the OS image, the mounting — rather than the other way round.
Android, Windows and Linux, matched to the platform. KDS and signage panels usually run Android on the SoC where the player is built in, or Windows through an OPS module or a separate mini PC where the software is a Windows application. Our industrial mini PCs ship with Windows or Linux, and the DCA-M200 also runs pfSense and OpenWRT as a router or firewall. OS image, drivers and firmware changes are part of the project scope.
We operate to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Every unit passes incoming component inspection, in-process checks during assembly, mandatory aging and burn-in, and a final functional test before packing. Displays are checked for panel uniformity and touch calibration; the industrial mini PC range also goes through thermal cycling, and vibration and shock testing where the application calls for it.
CE, RoHS, FCC and CCC are standard for the relevant product lines, and we support additional regional certification as part of the project plan. Certificates and test reports are supplied with the shipment.
A modification of an existing platform — your logo, a different panel size, a port change — is typically measured in weeks. A completely new industrial design with new tooling and certification takes considerably longer. We give you a milestone schedule at quotation stage and update it at each gate, so the sample, pilot and volume dates are known before you commit.
